Roads
The condition of the roads in Sennen Parish is managed by Cornwall Council. Sennen Parish Council makes representations and works with Cornwall Council to secure road maintenance and improvement, traffic speed measures and parking enforcement. A particular priority for Sennen has been the resurfacing of the A30/Cove Road roundabout and the Parish Council has worked with Cornwall Council to prioritise this work.
The Parish Council is committed to addressing the issue of speeding vehicles in the parish. In 2023-2024, funds were secured from Cornwall Council via the Penwith Community Area partnership to introduce a number of traffic claming measures that are now in place.
The 30mph zone has been extended through the village with 20mph limits placed on smaller roads. There are new gateway signs and road markings at the village entrances and signage which lights up to enforce 20mph speed limits around school opening and closing times, The Parish now has 4 Vehicle Activated Signs in place to discourage speeding along the A30.

Concerns about Roads in Sennen
Report a concern about a road or pavement, pothole, illegal parking, minor flooding or an overgrown hedge/verge to Cornwall Council here:

You can also make the Parish Council aware of your concern by talking to a Councillor or contacting the Clerk. If there is a valid concern, the Parish Council will report the issue to Cornwall Council. Parish Councillors cannot get involved in neighbour disputes.
Car Parks
Sennen Parish Council does not own or manage any car parking in Sennen.
Privately owned car parks (pay and display) are open all year round at Sennen Beach and Sennen Harbour. A privately owned summer only carpark (pay and display) operates on Cove Hill.
For any parking issues in these car parks please use the contact details provided on the signage in the carpark.
The double yellow lines along the seafront are now in force year round. It is important that the seafront is kept clear of parking to allow access at all times for emergency vehicles and lifeboat crew.
Public Transport
The three new bus shelters along the A30 are cleaned and maintained by Fernbank Advertising. The shelters will have ‘green’ sedum roofs installed later in 2025.
