Sennen Parish Council Nature Action Group have been working with local ecology experts to identify what Wildflowers will be able to thrive in some newly established Wildflower Areas under new management in Sennen.
With management that allows indigenous Wildflowers to thrive, biodiversity increases exponentially and helps encourage and increase pollinating insects. Some of the Wildflowers identified for our Parish are:

- Medicks
- Clovers
- Hop Trefoil
- Meadow Cranesbill
- Cut leaved Cranesbill
- Dog violet
- Hedge Bedstraw
- Forget me not
- Bugle
- Self-Heal
- Ground Ivy
- Betony
- Speedwell
- Yarrow
- Dandelion
- Red Campion
- Daisy
- Purple Vetch
- Foxglove
Our contractors will be mowing and removing vegetation from Wildflower Areas twice a year, and trimming edges that meet roads to ensure no issues with visibility arise. The Council will be planting Wildflower plugs to get things off to a good start this next spring.
