Cove Road Hedge Tidy-Up

The Parish Council is currently trying to secure funding which will enable us to make the Cornish hedge which lines the A30 and Cove Hill into a flowering and attractive feature for the village. In the meantime we started with a great community day to tidy up the hedge opposite school and now we’re proposing a second date:

We’ll be working on Saturday 11th May clearing brambles and weeds from the hedge at the top of Cove Road.

Stay for 10 minutes, an hour or three – all help will be appreciated.

Refreshments will be provided for all volunteers and if the weather is bad we will shelter in the Community Centre.

Tools and glove will be provided but if you have your own please bring them especially Cornish shovels, secateurs and sharp shears.

Children are encouraged to join us but must be accompanied by a responsible adult as the work will take place on the pavement by the road.
