Over the past 48 hours, 24 stations across Cornwall have been working around the clock to extinguish a wildfire on our doorstep. They have also been joined by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
Crews are continuing to locate and extinguish hotspots within the area, working tirelessly to continue to make progress with a total of 70 acres involved in the fire.
We would like to thank all emergency services and volunteers who have put themselves at risk and contributed towards keeping our local parishes and people safe.

Taking extra care to make sure you dispose of rubbish responsibly.
Not lighting barbecues or controlled burns/bonfires
Pack up a picnic instead
