82-Year-Old Alzheimer’s Survivor to Begin 650-Mile Walk
From Land’s End to LondonSATURDAY, 1 AUGUST 2026 | OFFICIAL START AT 9:00 A.M. BST
WHAT: Dr. Judy Benjamin will begin a 650-mile walk from Land’s End to London. Diagnosed with early Alzheimer’s at 67, Judy completed a 2,812-mile walk across the United States in 2025 and is now aiming to become the first known Alzheimer’s survivor to complete the Land’s End-to-London route.
WHEN: Saturday, 1 August 2026
· Media and participants should meet at 8:45 a.m.
· The walk will officially begin at 9:00 a.m. BST.
MEETING POINT: The Stone Circle opposite the visitor centre at Land’s End, Sennen, Cornwall, TR19 7AA.
STARTING POINT: At 8:45 a.m., Judy and those joining her will walk the short distance from the Stone Circle to the Cornish Path signpost, where her journey will officially begin at 9:00 a.m.
