A bit of a colder session this time, but Sennen Nature Action Group (SNAG) still made the most of a dry spell on 26th April to get some more weeding and planting done in the village.
Although we had a damp start to the day, SNAG volunteers got to work weeding the A30 hedge ready to plant up a range of plants.
Cuttings had been brought on over winter and donated by several villagers. This gave the volunteers a good amount of plants to nestle into the hedge.
The group began to tackle the Alexanders on the hedge running down Cove Hill and made space for some plants. The lower end of this hedge will be the focus for the next session.
Once again the new bus shelter became the refreshments stop – this time for a cuppa and pasty, kindly donated by the Beach Takeaway.
Thank you to all the volunteers who joined in for a fun morning of work. Thanks also to Cormac for taking away the green waste.
The next SNAG session will be at the beginning of June for more weeding and planting on Cove Hill hedge.
